What is The Big Give?
The Big Give is a national match-funding initiative founded by James Reed, Chairman of REED, designed to help UK charities raise more and make every donation count.
This year, Keech Hospice aims to raise £42,000 through this campaign—a vital boost to fund our specialist care and support.
Why your support matters
“It costs £26,000 every day to provide our care,” explains Nikki Samsa, Associate Director – Supporter Engagement. “Many people think hospices are fully government funded, but only about a third of our income comes from that. The rest we must raise ourselves. The Big Give is a powerful way for supporters to double their impact.”
How you can get involved
To make your donation count twice, visit our Big Give campaign page here between noon on 2 December and noon on 9 December.
Every gift makes a difference:
- £28 gives a child with a life-limiting condition the chance to play in a safe, caring space.
- £55 funds an hour of specialist nursing care for someone in our in-patient unit.
Stuart’s Story – Why it matters
“My mum Joyce spent her life helping others as a nurse. Keech helped her live well right to the end. When her final moments came, she died with dignity, surrounded by love. Keech made the hardest days bearable and even after Mum died, they stayed with us, helping us through our grief. If Mum were here, she’d say the care was second to none—and she’d be right.”
