Making the difference when it matters most

We provide a programme of care and support, that has each person at the centre, enabling them to live well with their life-limiting condition. This support extends to their loved ones and is free to all who need it.

Our approach is non-judgmental and non-discriminatory, ensuring equal access for all. We will work with our communities to develop resilience at end of life and beyond.

We aim to use our expertise to benefit the community we serve. We provide training to health and social care professionals. We work in partnership to spearhead research and innovation within our specialist field.

Our Strategic Aims

Our 2026-2031 strategy sets out our ambitions, plans and priorities for the future.

By 2031, we will be financially resilient, fit for the future, more equal and inclusive, recognised as a center of excellence, digitally empowered and driven by partnership and collaboration.

This is underpinned by six strategic aims.

Read our strategy

Aim One: Our Care

We will influence the transformation of the environment, systems and conversations about living well, death and dying, pioneering integrated models of care that serve all our residents.

Aim Two: Education, Learning and Research

As a university hospice, we will champion excellence in education, research, and innovation, supporting lifelong learning across the sector. As an all-age hospice, we will lead in equipping carers and professionals to deliver outstanding palliative care for people of all ages.

Aim Three: People and Inclusion

We will attract, retain and engage staff and volunteers and provide meaningful development opportunities, championing diversity and inclusion across all we do.

Aim Four: Data and Digital

We will build a resilient, digital and data driven organisation where high-quality, secure, and accessible data empowers every team to make informed decisions, improve performance, and deliver strategic impact.

Aim Five: Leadership and Excellence

We will be expertly led, effectively governed, and a values-driven learning organisation, committed to quality and continuous improvement, with an ambition to achieve ‘Excellent’ across all areas as assessed by regulator inspections and independent reviews.

Aim Six: Sustainability and Resilience

We will improve efficiency and effectiveness and increase revenue generation, whilst ensuring long term financial and environmental sustainability.

Our impact

“Our impact is measured in more than just numbers, it’s in the dignity we protect, the choices we empower, and the lives we help people live – for as long as we’re needed.” Liz Searle, CEO Keech Hospice
