The event, organised by the local Bangladeshi community, previously welcomed almost 1,000 attendees and is expected to attract similar numbers this year. Taking place on 6 September, the tournament will raise vital funds for Keech, with all entry fees and additional donations on the day going directly to the charity.
Alongside the fundraising, the event will also provide an opportunity to raise awareness of Keech’s services within the community, helping more families understand the support available to them.
Mohammed Rahman, Community Connector at Keech, said: “It’s fantastic to see the community come together again for this event and to have their support for Keech. Last year’s tournament had an incredible atmosphere, and this year we’re looking forward to building on that success – not only raising vital funds, but also helping more people learn about the care and support we provide.”
Ali Styles, Head of Public Giving at Keech, added: “We’re incredibly grateful to the organisers and wider community for choosing to support Keech Hospice. Community-led fundraising like this plays a vital role in helping us continue to provide specialist care to local families, and it’s wonderful to see so many people coming together to make the difference.”
Representatives from Keech will be present on the day to support the event, engage with attendees and share more information about the hospice’s work.
