What is the 55 Miles in March Challenge?

55 Miles in March is a virtual challenge organised by Keech Hospice and runs from 1-31 March 2026. It’s a virtual challenge, meaning you can take part wherever you are.

How do I take part?

You take part by covering 55 miles throughout the month of March. You can complete this distance using any physical activity you choose, such as walking, running, cycling, or a combination of activities.

What do I receive when I sign up?

When you sign up, you will receive a pair of FREE Keech Hospice green laces to get you started.

Are there any fundraising rewards?

Yes. If you raise £150 or more, you will be entitled to choose either:

  • A Keech Hospice running vest
  • A Keech Hospice doggy bandana

Who can take part?

Participants must be 16 or over, or have permission from a parent or guardian. Participation is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk. You should make sure you are fit to take part and seek medical advice if needed before starting the challenge. Feel free to get the four-legged friends involved too!

I don't think I can do 55 miles in one month, can I adapt the challenge?

Absolutely, we are happy for you to adapt the challenge to suit you – this could be walking, cycling or doing the challenge over more days.
