Social Work

What is social work support?

Our palliative-care social workers can guide you with practical advice and emotional support, dealing with any immediate worries as well as helping you with your hopes and wishes for the future.

What kind of things can you help me with?

Lots of things such as education, housing, finances, charity applications, transition, equipment and holidays. We can also support you with making funeral arrangements and getting access to statutory services.

Our social workers work directly with a range of professionals in the NHS and other organisations, and can deal with community services on your behalf. The social work team also provides carers support at Keech Hospice Care and in the community. How do I find out more?

Please call our palliative-care social worker on 01582 492339 or email social.workers@keech.org.uk.

Living a life free from harm and abuse is a fundamental human right and is an essential requisite for health and wellbeing. At Keech Hospice Care we are committed to protecting everyone who use our services from harm. Babies, children, young people, and adults using the services of Keech Hospice Care must not suffer any form of abuse, neglect, or improper treatment, and in undertaking their duties, all staff and volunteers must prioritise promoting the wellbeing of all patients and carers. As an organisation, Keech Hospice Care is committed to ensuring a culture that promotes openness and transparency within which staff and volunteers are competent to recognise, share and respond promptly to concerns relating to the wellbeing and welfare of the children and vulnerable adults we engage with through our work.
