High-profile local ambassadors come together to champion the cause of local hospice.
Keech Hospice Care is delighted to announce the launch of the charity’s new ambassador programme, marking the beginning of a dynamic new relationship between the hospice and key individuals across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes who are passionate about the charity’s work supporting adults and children with life-limiting and terminal illnesses.
This April, Robert Voss CBE CStJ Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Andy Coleman, Geoffrey Farr MBE DL, Kate Holland-Hibbert DL, Devi Kolli, Mostaque Koyes DL, Matthew Long, Professor Gurch Randhawa PhD FFPH DL, and Vinod Tailor MBE DL formally take up the mantle of ambassador for Keech Hospice Care.
Originating from a wide variety of backgrounds and sectors, each ambassador brings a unique set of skills which will open new channels of expertise and influence for the charity.
Together they will provide a new powerhouse of support, working together as one positive voice for Keech Hospice Care by promoting the charity’s services, facilitating the expansion of the charity’s supporter network and furthering Keech’s vision of making the difference when it matters the most.“I am delighted to launch our new ambassador programme in this, our 30th anniversary year”, said Liz Searle, CEO at Keech Hospice Care. “We rely on our supporters for around 70% of the funding we need to provide our vital care, and I know that our new ambassadors will have a huge impact. They are going to be invaluable in terms of raising awareness and increasing our supporter network which, after the COVID-19 pandemic, are needed now more than ever.”
Keech’s search for ambassadors began in November 2020, following the appointment of HM Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Helen Nellis, as the hospice’s new official patron. “I am thrilled to be joined by these amazing ambassadors”, she said, “and look forward to pooling our wide-ranging resources to help Keech Hospice Care continue making the difference when it matters the most.”
