Nicholas moved to North East Hertfordshire in 1992 following service in the Army and having begun a thirty year career in the City providing investment management for families and charities. Upon retirement, Nicholas embarked on a History Degree and then a Masters in the History of War at KCL. At that time, he became involved with the BraveHearts Appeal and it’s focus on providing help for children with life-limiting illnesses and support for their families. He is passionate about the work of Keech Hospice Care and it’s leading role in care innovation for children.
He still lives in North East Herts with his wife, Fi. His three children have embarked on very different careers in healthy food, the military and horse racing.
