Support for carers

You look after your loved one but who takes care of you?

We understand caring for someone with a life-limiting or terminal illness can be difficult at times, so we’re here
to support you. Every Monday, we invite carers in to the hospice to give support and guidance – whether the
person you care for comes to Keech Hospice Care or not.

What is the career drop-in service?

It’s a chance for you to meet other carers who are also experiencing what you’re going through. You can chat with the group and get advice, and we also offer one-to-one support if you need it. It’s also a great opportunity to hear about other ways we can support you at the hospice.

When is the drop-in service?

It runs from 1:30 to 3:30pm every Monday, except public holidays, at Keech Hospice Care. Light refreshments are available and we can arrange for a driver to pick you up if needed.

I’d like to attend but I’m not sure about leaving the person I care for alone. Can you help?

Yes, of course. Please speak to us about our Hospice at Home volunteer service by calling 01582 497809.

How much will it cost me?

It’s free – there is no charge.

How do I find out more?

Please contact our palliative-care social worker on 01582 497669 or download our carer’s drop-in service leaflet.
