Help coordinate the servicing of our fleet of vehicles.
• Complete vehicle checks of oil, tyres, lights, and so on. Recording findings, highlighting concerns to the Fleet Coordinator.
• Book repairs, servicing, and MOTs.
• Assist with the cleaning of the vehicles inside and out.
• Other supportive duties from time to time.
Alongside the Volunteer Driver, support the distribution centre and Keech Hospice Care shops in the collection and delivery of donated items on our fleet of vans. Our vans are out all day and the role will include heavy lifting.
• Collect donated items from donor’s homes and hospice shops, and safely transport them to the warehouse.
• Deliver items from furniture shops to customers’ homes.
• Other supportive duties from time to time.
Help the warehouse and Keech Hospice Care shops in the collection and delivery of donated items on our fleet of vans. Drivers must have a clean license.
• Collect donated items from donor’s homes and hospice shops, and safely transport them to the warehouse.
• Deliver items from furniture shops to customers’ homes.
• Carry out maintenance checks on the van including oil, tyres and so on.
• Other supportive duties from time to time.
Help transport adult patients to and from our hospice sites. We currently only need volunteer drivers in Bedford.
• Have confidence and experience in driving in accordance with the Highway Code and able to ensure the safety and comfort of patients during journeys.
• Choose to volunteer regularly or ad hoc.
• Training is provided and mileage expenses reimbursed (you can either use your own vehicle or a hospice fleet vehicle).
