About the challenge:

Have you only seen the River Thames from London? Take on this incredible challenge and expect to see some truly unforgettable sights.

Over 3,000 adventurers come together for a weekend of trekking along the River Thames. Whether you’d prefer to take on the challenging full 100km route, a shorter distance or The Moonlight 10 Walk through Central London – there’s something for everyone to get involved.

Full 100km (Putney to Henley):

This epic challenge will see you navigate your way through to Hampton Court and eventually onto Henley-on-Thames – home to the regatta – for a fabulous celebration finish and family BBQ. The challenge is a particularly flat route, but at 100km, isn’t for the faint-hearted! However, you’ll be rewarded with 100km of stunning scenery and historic villages and towns.

Please note, you can choose to either take the 100km route on as a continuous trek which may take walkers up to 36 hours, or spread the 100km across two days with a basecamp stay on Saturday night in Runnymede and trek just 50km each day.

3/4 Challenge – 72km (Hurst Park to Henley):

Starting a bit later down the route than the 100km adventurers, you’ll start off near Hampton Court and finish in Henley-on-Thames. The 72km may take walkers up to 16 hours to complete so consierably less time than the 100km.

1st Half Challenge – 50km (Putney to Runnymede):

If you’re wanting to take on a 50km trek, then you can still enjoy a scenic walk alongside the River Thames. This route of 50km follows the meandering waterway to Hampton Court, onto Runnymede for a big celebration finish.
