Keech Hospice Care makes The Sunday Times Top 100

Keech Hospice Care has been recognised as one of the best not-for-profit employers in the UK in an awards ceremony which took place on 22 February. The prestigious Top 100 awards, organised by The Sunday Times, identify the best companies and charities to work for across the UK. More than 250,000 staff working for over 1,000 employers completed anonymous surveys giving their opinions about their bosses, working conditions and employer values. Keech Hospice Care has been placed 71st in the Top 100 Not-For-Profit Organisations, which Liz Searle, Chief Executive of Keech Hospice Care, said was a ‘real achievement’ given that it was the first time the charity had been on the list.

“I am absolutely delighted that staff should rate us so highly,” added Liz Searle. “The staff survey shows that we have improved in all areas including personal development, wellbeing and leadership. We are proud to represent the hospice sector in this year’s results. Keech Hospice Care values its amazing staff and, of course, our volunteers, and we have an outstanding team in every area. It’s a fantastic position to be in and an amazing start to our journey in turning our good organisation into a truly great organisation.”

Judith Richardson, who is a senior nurse at Keech and has worked for the charity for the last 10 years, said she felt ‘very proud’ to work at the hospice: “We are all part of a fantastic team that aims to provide the best possible care and support to patients and their families.”
